“Identity” poetry workshops featured on a blog

June 24, 2009 by Martin

Lydia is organising some poetry workshops alongside “Identity”, the NHS Open Art Show 2009. Contact her for more information: lydia.towsey@leicspart.nhs.uk.

One person, Siobhan Logan, attended a workshop and then wrote about the experience on her blog:
http://siobhanlogan.blogspot.com/2009/06/i-love-poetry-workshops-where-you-do.html

I look forward to reading Siobhan’s finished poem, and the other poems written by workshop participants, once they are displayed alongside the artwork in the exhibition.

Recommended Radio Play about living with Bipolar Disorder

May 9, 2009 by Martin

I recommend listening to “Do’s and Don’ts for the Mentally Interesting” – an afternoon play on BBC Radio 4 recently. You can listen again on the BBC iPlayer by following this link – it was originally broadcast on Friday 8th May 2009, and will be available online until Friday 15th May.

It was based on a blog written by someone with Bipolar Disorder: www.mentallyinteresting.org.uk which I also recommend.
